Following the introduction of the new Visa Code in April 2010, ETOA launched a study into the practicalities of visa processing for the Schengen Area, UK and Ireland, and implications for European inbound tourism.
Feedback from tour operators and travel agents worldwide was collected by ETOA through its Visas Survey. The survey offers a first view of how the new procedures are working across a broad range of origin countries and will discuss experiences.

The final report of ETOA's survey will be released early in 2011 following more in-depth analysis and further research. ETOA will work with its members and partners to develop more accurate quantification of loss of business, identify obstacles and current or desired best practice.
